The AYAME is a Free MPLS environment for NetBSD platform.

Release note of "AYAME MPLS environment Version 0.3"


* What's AYAME?

    AYAME is a MPLS environment that enable NetBSD to MPLS
    forwarding/signaling function.
    AYAME consists of some kernel patch and userland softwares, 
    ldpd, ayamed and etc.


* AYAME 0.3 Features

    - NetBSD based software MPLS forwarding engine

    - Supported Layer3 protocol:
      - IPv4
      - IPv6 (tunnel/6PE-compatible mode):experimental

    - Label Distribution Protocols
      - ldpd(8)
	- LDP protocol(RFC3036)
	- CR-LDP protocol(RFC3212)
      - sld(8)
	- static label binding for TE

   - Layer 3 routing protocols
     - AYAME can work with the GNU Zebra layer 3 routing software
       (need some local patches).

       The BGP, OSPF and any Layer3 routing protocols supported by
       zebra are work good co-operate with LDPs.

       AYAME w/ zebra support the DISTIX type BGP peering over MPLS LSP.

    - Supported interface types:
      Almost interfaces supported in NetBSD1.5.2 are also supported.

      - GbE (1000BT/1000B-SX)
      - 100BT/10BT
      - ATM(OC-3) frame mode
      - Label Packet over IP-Tunnel(LSP over IP)

      And some additional interfaces are supported additional patch.

  - GNU zebra 0.92a + MPLS patch
