Release note of "AYAME MPLS environment Version 0.4"


* What's AYAME?

    AYAME is an MPLS environment which enables MPLS
    forwarding/signaling function  on NetBSD.
    AYAME consists of some kernel patches and userland softwares, 
    ldpd, ayamed and etc.

* AYAME 0.4 Features

    - NetBSD based software MPLS forwarding engine

    - Supported Layer3 protocols:
      - IPv4
      - IPv6 (tunnel/6PE-compatible mode)

    - Label Distirbution Protocols
      - ldpd(8)
	- LDP protocol(RFC3036)
	- CR-LDP protocol(RFC3212)
      - rsvpd(8)
	- RSVP-TE protocol(RFC3209)
      - sld(8)
	- static label binding for TE

   - Layer 3 routing protocols
     - AYAME can work with the GNU Zebra layer 3 routing software
       (Some local patches are required).

       The BGP, OSPF and any Layer3 routing protocols supported by
       zebra work well co-operating with LDPs.

       AYAME w/ zebra supports the DISTIX type BGP peering over MPLS LSP.

    - Supported interface types:
      Most interfaces supported in NetBSD1.5.2 are supported.

      - GbE (1000BT/1000B-SX)
      - 100BT/10BT
      - ATM(OC-3) frame mode
      - Lable Packet over IP-Tunnel(LSP over IP)

      And some additional interfaces can be supported with additional patches.

    - 6PE support

  - GNU zebra 0.93b + MPLS patch
